Job Description

An opportunity is available for a full-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) providing telehealth services in a K-12 educational setting. This contract position will be conducted virtually and supports visual impairment instruction throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support virtually to students with visual impairments across all grade levels (K-12).
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) addressing the unique learning needs of students who are visually impaired.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and educational staff to enhance student progress and accessibility.
  • Utilize telehealth technologies to facilitate effective remote instruction and assessment.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation consistent with educational and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) required.
  • Experience working in K-12 educational environments, preferably with virtual or telehealth delivery models.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills tailored to remote educational settings.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse student needs and technological capabilities.

Location:

  • Virtual role, servicing students based in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
