Job Description

A part-time role is available for a visually impaired teacher to provide telehealth services to K-12 students. This position offers the opportunity to deliver specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, enhancing their educational experience through remote learning tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver telehealth instruction tailored to the needs of visually impaired students across grades K-12.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school staff and families.
  • Utilize assistive technology and adaptive strategies to support student learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid New Mexico teaching license for Visually Impaired Education is required.
  • Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments.
  • Proficiency in telehealth platforms and virtual instructional methods.
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and strategies for visually impaired learners.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and educational teams.

Location and Duration:

  • This part-time position is based in Melrose, New Mexico.
  • Contract runs for the full school year (NSY).
