Job Description

Seeking a dedicated educator to provide specialized instruction for students with visual impairments in a K-12 school setting through telehealth services. This contract position supports a comprehensive curriculum adapted to meet the unique needs of visually impaired learners, ensuring access to educational materials and promoting independence.

Location:

  • Based in Andover, MN
  • Services delivered remotely via telehealth platforms

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans tailored to students with visual impairments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students academic and social development
  • Utilize appropriate technology and resources to facilitate learning remotely
  • Monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in required meetings
  • Communicate regularly with families and school personnel to provide updates and support

Qualifications:

  • Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and accessible educational materials
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to deliver services effectively through telehealth platforms
  • Knowledge of Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes and compliance standards
