Job Description

A specialized teaching position is available for an experienced Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) dedicated to supporting students with visual impairments in a middle school setting. This role offers the opportunity to work onsite with a diverse K-12 caseload, providing critical educational services throughout the contract period.

Position Details:

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current South Carolina state certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
  • Proven experience working with visually impaired students across K-12 grade levels
  • Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet individual student needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized educational programs tailored for students with visual impairments
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to ensure comprehensive support
