Job Description
Make an impact in the lives of students by supporting their educational growth as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in an engaging K-12 environment. This full-time, onsite contract position offers a fulfilling opportunity to collaborate with students and fellow professionals for the entire 2026/2027 school year, beginning in August and concluding in early June.
At one school site, youll work collaboratively alongside two experienced TVI teachers to provide specialized instructional support to students with a range of visual impairments. Your expertise will help students access their curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities, guided by their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Every day will bring new opportunities to adapt instruction, foster independence, and contribute to an inclusive, supportive school community.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Teacher of the Visually Impaired Certification
- Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential
- Experience supporting students across grades K-12 is ideal
- Understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering student independence and academic success
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative support for students with visual impairments
- Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to ensure academic access
- Adapt materials and instruction as needed to meet student IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain documentation on student progress
- Encourage and facilitate the use of assistive technology
- Engage with families as partners in their childrens learning journey

Compensation for this position ranges from $36.00 to $58.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
