An opportunity is available for a dedicated Teacher for the Visually Impaired to provide specialized educational services in a full-time, onsite position located in Saint Charles, IL. This role is ideal for professionals holding an Illinois Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license and Professional Educator License (PEL) who are committed to supporting students with visual impairments and promoting their academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students with visual impairments.
- Utilize specialized teaching methods and materials to enhance learning and accessibility.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student progress.
- Conduct assessments and monitor student development, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Provide orientation and mobility training as part of comprehensive educational services.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) license.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois.
- Previous experience teaching students with visual impairments strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work full-time onsite from ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY).

Contract Details:
- Duration: Negotiable School Year (NSY) contract.
