A full-time position is available for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments. This role involves travel to an onsite school location in Roxbury, MA, ensuring students receive expert educational services tailored to their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and support aligned with the individualized education plans (IEPs) of visually impaired students.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to promote student success.
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress regularly.
- Address the specific learning challenges related to visual impairment through recommended strategies and materials.
Qualifications:
- Must possess valid Massachusetts TVI licensure.
- Demonstrated experience working with visually impaired students preferred.
- Ability to travel to the assigned school location as required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
