A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide exceptional support and instruction to K-12 learners. Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification for Georgia
  • Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GAPSC) credentials required
  • Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments is highly desired
  • Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt lessons and materials for a range of visual needs and learning styles

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction and adaptive learning strategies to visually impaired students across elementary to high school levels
  • Assess individualized educational needs and develop customized lesson plans
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure accessible learning environments
  • Support students with orientation, mobility, and the use of assistive technology
  • Advocate for student needs and promote independence and confidence both in and out of the classroom
