Job Description

An opportunity is available for professionals experienced in providing specialized education to students with visual impairments. This full-time role will foster an inclusive and supportive environment for K-12 students across multiple campuses.

Qualifications:

  • Arizona certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
  • Relevant degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Experience teaching students with visual impairments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored instructional planning and delivery to meet the needs of students with visual impairments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess student progress and adapt educational strategies
  • Develop and implement IEP goals in partnership with families and support staff
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and documentation as required
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training opportunities
