Make a meaningful impact by supporting students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) at a dynamic school district near Naperville, IL. This onsite, full-time contract role extends through the end of the school year and offers the chance to help students thrive academically and personally.
Youll collaborate with school staff, provide direct and consultative services, and tailor instruction to the unique needs of each learner. Your professional expertise will play a key role in fostering independence and educational success for visually impaired students.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Illinois SLI License
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Experience working as a TVI or with visually impaired students in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for supporting students with unique learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments across grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum and materials in accessible formats
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to ensure student success
- Assess student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Serve as a resource on visual impairment for staff and families
