This opportunity is for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired to provide specialized educational support at an onsite location in Naperville, IL. The position is a full-time contract role spanning the school year (NSY), offering an engaging environment to apply expertise in working with students who have visual impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to visually impaired students to support their academic and functional development.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service providers to create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Utilize assistive technology and adaptive materials to enhance learning experiences.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Illinois Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) License is required.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience working with visually impaired students preferred.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
- Ability to manage a full-time caseload effectively.
