This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for passionate Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVI) eager to teach, collaborate, and inspire. The role serves two classrooms, each with approximately 10 students, in a cooperative co-teaching environment that values individualized instruction and team support.

Key Qualifications:

• Active FL DOE TVI license required
• Experience providing direct instruction in braille and assistive technology
• Ability to adapt curriculum and classroom environments for students with visual impairments
• Strong collaboration skills to work alongside co-teachers, instructional staff, and families
• Commitment to maintaining licensure, professional standards, and ongoing education

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction in braille and technology to blind and visually impaired students
• Coach instructional staff on the implementation of appropriate accommodations
• Adapt classroom spaces and curriculum materials to meet individual needs
• Offer guidance and training to families on braille and accessibility
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and participate in early intervention as needed
• Maintain accurate assessments and document student progress in required systems
• Support and engage in childrens programs and community events
• Pursue relevant professional development and maintain required accreditations
