Job Description

An opportunity is available for a dedicated professional specializing in the education of students with visual impairments. This role is set within a K-12 school environment in Mesa, AZ, where the focus will be on providing tailored educational experiences to meet the diverse needs of students.

Qualifications:

  • Active Arizona Teaching License
  • Endorsement for Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments
  • SPED Certification preferred
  • EEEI (Essential Element of Effective Instruction) knowledge is a plus
  • Dual certification in Visual Impairments and Orientation Mobility preferred, though not required

Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the educational team
  • Ensure the completion and delivery of ESS services
  • Maintain a positive and supportive work environment for staff and students
  • Develop and adapt instructional materials to meet varying needs
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
