Job Description

This full-time, contract position offers an opportunity to provide critical support as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) within a K-12 school setting in Madera, CA. You will work directly with students who are visually impaired, delivering specialized instruction tailored to their unique learning needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct services and instructional support to students with visual impairments
  • Conducting comprehensive tests and assessments to determine students needs
  • Completing detailed evaluations and reports
  • Participating in and contributing to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Writing and updating IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines

Required qualifications:

  • Valid California Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license
  • Experience working with visually impaired students in a K-12 environment
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools and instructional strategies for students with visual impairments

This role is onsite with hours per week to be determined, emphasizing a collaborative approach to meet student goals.
