Job Description

A K-12 school in Madera, CA is seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired for a contract position during the current school year. This onsite role involves providing specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, ensuring they have access to curriculum and resources tailored to their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct services to students with visual impairments
  • Conduct tests, assessments, and complete comprehensive evaluations
  • Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings
  • Write and maintain accurate IEPs in compliance with legal and educational standards
  • Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to support student success

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license is required
