Job Description

Experienced Teachers for the Visually Impaired are sought to support K-12 students in Junction City, OR. This is a full academic school year contract position within a dynamic educational environment dedicated to providing specialized instruction.

Responsibilities include:

Delivering tailored instruction and support to students with visual impairments
Collaborating with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Assessing and monitoring student progress and adapting teaching methods accordingly
Utilizing specialized teaching materials and assistive technology to enhance learning
Providing training and guidance to staff and caregivers on best practices for supporting visually impaired students

Qualifications:

Certification or licensure in teaching students with visual impairments
Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments
Strong knowledge of educational strategies, tools, and technologies for visually impaired learners
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to develop and implement IEPs and educational assessments

Location: Junction City, Oregon (onsite in a K-12 school setting) Duration: Full academic school year contract (NSY)
