Job Description

A unique opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to provide essential support to students with vision impairments in a dynamic educational environment. This role is designed for the 2025-2026 school year and involves working closely within a specialized team to deliver comprehensive, district-wide vision itinerant services.

Qualifications:

Valid Professional Educator License
Endorsement as a Deaf-Blind Specialist
Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with visual impairments
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment

Location:
Joliet, IL

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized instruction and support to students with vision impairments
Collaborate with a three-person team to develop and implement appropriate educational strategies
Conduct assessments to determine student needs and monitor progress
Engage with families and staff to ensure continuity of support
Participate in team meetings and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
