Job Description

This opportunity is for a licensed Teacher of the Visually Impaired to provide specialized educational support for students in grades K-12. The position is a full-time contract covering maternity leave from January 5, 2026, to April 3, 2026 (tentative dates), located in Chesterfield, VA.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering individualized instruction and support to visually impaired students
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and materials
  • Conducting assessments and monitoring student progress
  • Training staff and families on vision-related accommodations and assistive technology

Qualifications:

  • Valid Virginia Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license
  • Experience working with K-12 visually impaired students preferred
  • Strong knowledge of specialized instructional strategies and tools for vision impairment
