Make a meaningful difference in students lives by providing specialized instruction and support as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the upcoming school year. Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or eligibility to obtain credentials
• Experience working with children and youth who have visual impairments, preferably within a school environment
• Knowledge of assistive technology, Braille, tactile graphics, and adaptive educational materials
• Strong communication and organizational skills for collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, families, and staff
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with varying levels of visual impairment

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized instruction and accommodations to students with visual impairments, following IEP goals and best practices
• Conduct assessments to determine student needs, assistive device requirements, and instructional modifications
• Consult with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure successful integration and equal access to curriculum
• Provide orientation and mobility instruction as needed or coordinate with specialists
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
• Advocate for and implement accessible technologies, materials, and strategies throughout the educational program
