Step into a dynamic contract role as a dedicated Teacher for the Visually Impaired serving students from early childhood through high school across a district-based assignment. Key Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Department of Education certification with endorsement for Special Education Specialist Visual Impairment (ages 0-21)
• Masters or higher degree in special education visual impairment or equivalent from a regionally accredited institution
• Ability to complete timely background check and fingerprinting requirements
• Preferred: Orientation and Mobility Certification (O&M), though not required
• Prior experience conducting functional vision assessments and developing individualized education plans (IEPs) is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer vision-related assessments and develop comprehensive IEPs tailored to individual student needs (30%)
• Deliver specialized instruction and academic support, including skills for visual impairment, blindness, and deaf-blindness (30%)
• Adapt classroom materials and environments to maximize student engagement and access (20%)
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and district staff while maintaining accurate compliance and HR documentation (15%)
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned (5%)
