Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Maryland TVI licensure required
  • Demonstrated expertise in providing direct instruction and accommodations to students with visual impairments

  • Strong collaboration skills; ability to partner with educational teams, families, and related service providers
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and advocacy abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized educational programs in alignment with students needs and IEP goals
  • Deliver direct instruction using a variety of accessible materials, including Braille, large print, and assistive technology
  • Assess students vision-related needs and provide consultative support to staff and families
  • Facilitate collaborative meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and involved in supporting student success
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment in a specialized school setting
