Job Description

Key Qualifications:
- Current Maryland TVI licensure required
- Demonstrated expertise in providing direct instruction and accommodations to students with visual impairments
- Experience working with K-12 students, adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Strong collaboration skills; ability to partner with educational teams, families, and related service providers
- Exceptional communication, organization, and advocacy abilities
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized educational programs in alignment with students needs and IEP goals
- Deliver direct instruction using a variety of accessible materials, including Braille, large print, and assistive technology
- Assess students vision-related needs and provide consultative support to staff and families
- Facilitate collaborative meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and involved in supporting student success
- Contribute to creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment in a specialized school setting
