Qualifications:

  • GAPSC credential required
  • Prior experience working with K-12 students preferred, but motivated new graduates are welcome
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to create and adapt instructional materials and assessments for visually impaired students

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to visually impaired students in accordance with IEPs and educational best practices
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Develop and implement materials in accessible formats, including Braille, large print, and digital resources
  • Advocate for students needs and provide consultative services to school staff
  • Track student progress, conduct assessments, and contribute to IEP meetings
