Qualifications & Experience
- Active Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Certification required
- Experience or training in Braille instruction preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload including IEPs (direct services and Braille learners) and 504 plans
- Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and consultative services to a caseload of 18 students across varying schools
- Serve 13 students with IEPs (4 direct, 3 learning Braille), and 5 with 504s
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in IEP and 504 meetings
- Develop and implement individualized educational goals and adapt curriculum
- Travel between assigned schools, managing service schedules and documentation
