Job Description

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized instructional services to visually impaired students. This full-time, onsite position is based in Cambridge, MA, and operates on a school year (NSY) contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive educational support tailored to students with visual impairments.
  • Manage a full caseload with typical TVI duties including assessment, curriculum adaptation, and assistive technology integration.
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Current Massachusetts Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) licensure is required.
  • Proven experience working with visually impaired students in educational settings preferred.
  • Strong understanding of assistive technology and instructional strategies specific to visual impairment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
