A full-time Teacher of the Visually Impaired position is available in Brockton, MA, for a school year contract. This role involves providing specialized educational services to students with visual impairments, adhering to typical TVI duties within one school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans tailored to students visual needs.
- Implement instructional strategies to support students academic and functional abilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate services effectively.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Utilize specialized materials and technology designed for visually impaired learners.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) licensure is required.
- Experience working with visually impaired students in educational settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of educational techniques and assistive technologies for visual impairments.
- Ability to work onsite full-time and manage caseload independently.
