Job Description

Enthusiastic professionals are sought to provide specialized educational support as Teachers for the Visually Impaired. This full-time, onsite position is located in Brockton, MA, within a collaborative school environment dedicated to fostering the growth and development of students with visual impairments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to student care and education.
  • Assess students progress and adapt teaching strategies to promote effective learning experiences.
  • Provide support in the use of assistive technology and educational resources designed for visually impaired students.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.

Qualifications:

  • Massachusetts Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) licensure is required.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges and strategies involved in educating students with visual impairments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships within the school community.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IEPs is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
