Job Description

This full-time position in Boston, MA offers an opportunity to provide specialized instruction and support as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI). Serving one school, you will manage a typical caseload, delivering tailored educational services that help visually impaired students thrive academically and socially. This contract role spans the entire school year and requires onsite presence to collaborate directly with students, staff, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instructional services aligned with each students IEP and unique learning needs.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized educational programs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and related service providers.
  • Provide orientation and mobility training as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license required.
  • Experience with standard TVI responsibilities and caseload management.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a school environment.
