Job Description

A K-12 educational opportunity for a qualified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Specialist is available in the Boston and Marblehead, MA areas. This contract position offers 20 hours per week and is designed to support students across all grade levels within a dedicated school setting.

Qualifications and Credentials:

  • Massachusetts Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Licensure or equivalent certification
  • Proven experience working with visually impaired students in K-12 educational settings
  • Strong understanding of specialized instructional strategies and technology for visual impairment

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of visually impaired students
  • Provide direct instruction, assessment, and support services across subjects to optimize student learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent and adaptive teaching approaches
  • Utilize assistive technologies and resources to enhance students access to the curriculum
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation

Location:

  • Positions available in Boston, MA, and Marblehead, MA, with potential for flexible scheduling within the 20-hour weekly commitment
