Job Description

This opportunity is for an experienced educator specialized in teaching students with visual impairments within a K-12 school setting in Atlanta, GA. The position is part-time at 10 hours per week and will run from ASAP through May 22, 2026. This is a contract role requiring onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver approximately 30 minutes of direct instruction daily to students with visual impairments, tailored to individual needs.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to implement appropriate accommodations.
  • Ensure all instructional materials are accessible and meet the unique requirements of students.
  • Provide consultation on assistive technology and accessibility strategies to promote compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC) certification in Special Education with a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) endorsement.
  • Certification in General Curriculum.
  • Clearance documentation confirming eligibility to work in the specified role.
  • Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments.
  • Strong knowledge of assistive technology and accommodations related to visual impairments.

Location: Atlanta, GA onsite work required.
