Job Title: Digital Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Location: California (Remote)
Job Details:
- Employment Type: Full-time, remote
- Caseload: K-12 students with mild to moderate diagnoses
- Duration: Academic school year (with potential for renewal)
Responsibilities: As a Digital Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, you will:
- Deliver high-quality instruction and support to students with hearing impairments through virtual platforms.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the student's IEP team.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and progress.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other members of the educational team to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress and participation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification in Deaf Education or Special Education in the state of California.
- Previous experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with virtual teaching platforms and digital instructional tools.
- Experience in conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and implementing effective teaching strategies.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
