Job Description

This full-time teaching opportunity is for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a school located in Pleasant View, Tennessee. The assignment is a contract position lasting through the current school year, with a start date as soon as possible and continuing through May 20, 2026.

Responsibilities include providing specialized instruction and support tailored to the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students across various grade levels. The caseload and specific services will be determined based on student needs at the time of placement. This role requires on-site presence; remote or hybrid work options are not available.

Key qualifications and requirements:

  • Active Tennessee Department of Education teaching license specific to Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
  • Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Ability to develop and implement instructional strategies customized to student communication needs
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with school staff, families, and related service providers
