Job Description

In this part-time role, youll deliver a blend of direct instruction (2.5 hours per week) and dedicated time for planning, consultations, and documentation (2.5 hours per week). This flexible structure enables focused attention to both students in-class learning and their ongoing academic support needs. Your expertise and compassion will foster an inclusive educational environment and help each student reach their full potential.

Qualifications:

  • Valid West Virginia TDHH Certification is required
  • Previous experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a school setting
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with interdisciplinary teams, families, and administration
  • Commitment to implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiating instruction
  • Ability to document student progress clearly and consistently

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct academic and auditory support according to each students IEP
  • Develop tailored lesson plans and adapt materials for individualized learning
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation of student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families and staff
  • Stay current on best practices and advocacy for D/HH education
