This contract role provides the opportunity to work with a small, dedicated caseload of five K-12 students, delivering both direct services and crucial planning/documentation time each week.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid West Virginia TDHH (Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing) certification required
• Experience providing instructional and support services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, families, and support teams
• Familiarity with the latest instructional strategies and assistive technology for deaf and hard of hearing students

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide 2.5 hours per week of specialized, direct instruction tailored to individual student goals
• Dedicate 2.5 hours weekly to planning, documentation, and collaboration with educational teams
• Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff and families regarding best practices and accommodations
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to meet evolving needs
