Job Description

This position seeks a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) education to provide essential instructional services in a K-12 school setting located in Leominster, MA. The role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities within a contract extending through the next school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction focused on reading and literacy development for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Provide American Sign Language (ASL) services to ensure effective communication access.
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment that respects and integrates both spoken and signed language modalities.
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to support students language development and mastery of academic content across various subjects.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license required.
  • Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing is highly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in ASL and knowledge of best practices for language acquisition and literacy instruction in this population.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
