Job Description

A full-time teaching opportunity is available for a certified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, serving high school students in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This contract position supports a Regional Day School Program for the Deaf and focuses on delivering specialized instruction to students within the Arlington Independent School District. The contract spans the 2025-2026 school year, with a start date as soon as possible.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing comprehensive educational support tailored to Deaf and Hard of Hearing high school students
  • Delivering curriculum in accordance with Texas Department of Education standards for core high school subjects
  • Collaborating with district staff and families to create inclusive learning environments
  • Managing a full caseload within the Regional Day School Program, fostering students academic and social development

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Active Texas DOE Certification, specifically in high school core subjects required for teaching
  • Proven experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students at the high school level
  • Strong communication skills for working with diverse student populations and educational teams
  • Ability to work full-time hours (35 per week); part-time opportunities may also be considered
