Step into a meaningful role supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing in an educational environment near Haverhill, MA. This part-time contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse student population ranging from PreK to age 22, providing both consultative and direct services. Youll make a direct impact on the educational journey of 43 students, with most responsibilities focused on consultative support.
Qualifications:
- Current MA TDHH (Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing) credential required
- Experience supporting students with hearing differences in educational settings preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, accessible learning environment
Position Highlights:
- Part-time schedule: 24 hours per week, working 3 days each week
- Manage a caseload of 43 students, spanning PreK through 22 years old
- Primarily consultative work, offering expertise, resources, and strategies to classroom teachers and school teams
- Deliver direct instruction and support as needed to families and students
- Collaborate on IEP development, progress monitoring, and accommodations
- Work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team dedicated to student success
