Job Description

A K-12 educational opportunity is available for experienced Teachers specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. This full-time or part-time contract position serves a diverse student population from kindergarten through 12th grade, focusing on delivering tailored instruction to meet the unique needs of learners with hearing challenges.

Location: Fort Worth, TX
Duration: ASAP start through 5/29/2026
Position Type: Full-Time and Part-Time, Contract (CSY)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement specialized instructional strategies for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
  • Assess individual student needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and support specialists to create inclusive learning environments
  • Utilize assistive technology and communication methods appropriate to students hearing abilities
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Certification or licensure in Deaf Education or Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Experience working with K-12 Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
  • Strong knowledge of communication modalities such as American Sign Language (ASL), speech therapy techniques, or auditory training
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive educational settings
