Job Description

A professional opportunity exists for a skilled educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) services within an K-12 school setting. This full-time position involves providing dedicated support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, fostering an inclusive and enriching learning environment. This contract is set for the following dates: 8/4/2025 - 5/22/2026.

Qualifications:

  • Valid GA licensure or credentials in Deaf Education
  • Experience in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
  • Proven track record of teaching deaf students to read
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to implement effective teaching strategies tailored to diverse needs

Location: Gainesville, GA

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive school-based DHH services to students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, staff, and families to support student learning
  • Utilize appropriate resources and technology to enhance communication and learning
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
