Job Description

A full-time teaching position is available for a licensed Deaf and Hard of Hearing educator to serve K-12 students for the 2025-2026 school year in Elk Grove, CA. This onsite contract role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic and social development of students with hearing impairments within a supportive educational environment.

Key qualifications and requirements:

  • Valid state license as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher is mandatory
  • Experience working with students across all K-12 grade levels preferred
  • Strong knowledge of instructional strategies tailored to Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues

Primary responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, individualized instruction aligned with state standards and student IEP goals
  • Assess student progress and modify teaching methods and materials as needed
  • Collaborate closely with educational teams, therapists, and support staff to address student needs
  • Provide advocacy and resources for students and their families to foster academic success and positive inclusion
