Qualifications:

  • Active Georgia DHH License
  • Possible Georgia PSC Certification
  • Strong background in teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create tailored educational plans
  • Experience working collaboratively with staff and families

Location: Covington, GA

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate effective communication and support services.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and academic development.
  • Utilize appropriate teaching strategies to engage students and meet their unique learning needs.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as required.
  • Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
