Job Description

A dedicated professional is sought to provide specialized educational support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in an itinerant role. This position will involve collaborating with diverse K-12 environments, focusing on creating inclusive and enriching learning experiences.

Location: Bolingbrook, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students across multiple schools.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet varying needs.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities and participate in relevant meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Deaf Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching certification or endorsement for Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
  • Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in an itinerant capacity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
