An opening is available for a Special Education Teacher with expertise in working with students who have multiple disabilities, autism, and complex needs. This position serves K-12 students in a self-contained classroom environment, providing tailored instruction to meet diverse learning requirements. The role is located in Xenia, OH, and offers a contract for the current school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with multiple disabilities and autism
• Manage a caseload of 6-8 students across elementary and high school levels
• Deliver specialized instruction that addresses academic, social, and behavioral goals
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists and support staff, to ensure holistic student development
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
• Maintain detailed records and communicate regularly with families and caregivers

Qualifications:

• Valid Intervention Specialist certification required
• Experience teaching in self-contained classrooms for students with complex needs
• Strong ability to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to individual student goals
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Work Schedule and Location:

• Full-time position with 35-40 hours per week
• Situated in Xenia, OH
