Job Description

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students with mild to moderate needs. This full-time, contract position is based in Fitchburg, MA, providing a meaningful role in the academic growth and development of approximately 16 students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education (SPED) License
  • Experience working with high school students in a special education setting
  • Ability to manage a caseload with mild to moderate learning needs effectively
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with students, families, and educational teams

Location:

  • Fitchburg, MA

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique learning requirements of each student
  • Deliver engaging and adaptive instruction that meets students academic and social-emotional goals
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to support student success
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with educational regulations and policies
