Job Description

This opportunity seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support first-grade students in an elementary school setting. The position involves working onsite in Worcester, MA, with a full 40-hour workweek. This contract role offers a comprehensive caseload comprised of 10 students with academic needs alongside 4 students receiving speech-only interventions.

Key responsibilities include implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with moderate disabilities and collaborating with speech therapists to ensure all students receive appropriate support. This role demands a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic growth and social development.

Qualifications:

  • DESE Certification: Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities, PreK-8
  • Minimum of 2 years experience teaching Special Education
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload with varied academic and speech needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams
