Seeking a Special Education Teacher for a K-12 setting in Michigan, specializing in direct instruction for elementary students with emotional impairments. This contract position offers a 3-month assignment with potential for extension, providing an excellent opportunity to support diverse learners in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction tailored to elementary students with emotional impairments
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet student needs
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports social and academic growth
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote student success

Qualifications:

• Active Michigan Special Education license with any endorsement
• Certification in Emotional Impairments (EI) required
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a special education setting
• Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in emotional impairments, preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
