Make an impact in the lives of students as an onsite Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year! This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a supportive environment dedicated to inclusive education. With four full-time positions available starting in August and continuing through June, youll be able to contribute your skills across both elementary and middle school levels.
Openings include one self-contained classroom for Kindergarten2nd grade and three inclusion rolestwo at the elementary level and one in a middle school setting. This is an ideal position for educators who thrive in collaborative school communities and value hands-on engagement with their students and colleagues.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and confirmed Special Education Certification for Virginia (required)
- Experience working within K-8 inclusive and/or self-contained classroom settings preferred
- Strong ability to adapt instruction to meet a diverse range of learning needs
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for fostering an environment of respect, growth, and academic achievement
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction in accordance with students IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
- Track student progress, modify instructional approaches, and maintain accurate records as required
- Partner with school teams to develop strategies for inclusion and behavioral support
- Uphold confidentiality and the highest standards of professionalism at all times
- Comply with fingerprinting/background check requirements prior to starting
This position features a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week), panel-style Zoom interviews, and immediate hiring decisions for qualified applicants.
