This contract opportunity offers a fulfilling role for a compassionate educator eager to work as an itinerant teacher, providing hands-on instruction and guidance to children enrolled in community preschools.

In this position, youll support approximately 30 students, tailoring educational strategies to address a diverse range of special education needs. The role follows a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., totaling 35 hours per week. Youll have the chance to work collaboratively with preschool staff throughout the area, with robust guidance and training provided to ensure your success.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania certification in PK-4 and/or Special Education (emergency permits are not accepted)
• Experience working with preschool-aged children with special needs preferred
• Ability to travel to multiple community preschool sites within the area
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for preschool students
• Deliver instruction and intervention services directly in community preschool settings
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success
• Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate records and attend required meetings
