Key Qualifications:

  • Active Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility
  • Experience supporting students with emotional or behavioral disabilities preferred
  • Previous work in school settings, ideally with a range of mild to severe disabilities
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with students, families, and staff
  • Commitment to individualized instruction and adapting strategies as needed

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques for students with diverse learning challenges
  • Provide classroom structure and behavioral support, promoting engagement and progress
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere for all students regardless of disability
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, aides, therapists, and parents
  • Document and track student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
  • Participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions
