Job Description
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school serving 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. This contract role is for the current school year (CSY) and is located in Waukesha, WI.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs in grades 1-3.
- Adapt general education curriculum to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student progress.
- Monitor and document student performance and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports social-emotional growth.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with elementary-level students, especially in 1st through 3rd grades.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and assessment tools.
- Ability to create individualized lessons and manage diverse classroom needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to student success.

- Elementary school setting in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
