Essential Qualifications:
- Hold current Michigan Special Education Teacher certification, with a valid SPED endorsement.
- Background working with students who have mild to moderate learning needs is strongly preferred.
- In-depth understanding of developing and executing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable partnering with families and staff.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and student advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, implement, and regularly evaluate IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to meet each learners strengths and goals.
- Collect data and track student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student confidence, participation, and independence.
- Maintain accurate, timely records and documentation in line with school and state requirements.
- Actively participate in school meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions.
